1930s Embroidered Silk Gown

The beauty of 1930s fashion that is seemingly impossible to attain, can now be yours with this 1930s salmon pink, silk, rainbow embroidered gown.  In a day and age when hand-stitched details were the norm, this dress radiated.  Purple, yellow, and green zigzag stitches cinch in the short sleeve to create a charming bell shape.  The yellow, silk, ruffle collar is adorned with threads of green and purple zigzag stitches, and green, pink, blue, and purple swirl chain stitches.  Using a technique unique to this era, the waist is cinched and made elastic with a carefully orchestrated zigzag stitch used in green, yellow, and purple thread.  The length of this bias-cut gown is adorned with tight embroidered stitches in a variety of colors and designs.  Green, purple, and yellow chain stitches create the leaf pattern upon the bust.  The same technique is used on the hem to create a magnificent flying bird motif.  Secure the gown with the snaps that lay upon the shoulder.  Due to the age of this precious piece, minor wear and tear is seen.  We recommend using this item as a collector's piece.
